Two 17-year-olds manipulated their way out of Elmore Academy on Saturday, Aug. 10 and led law enforcement officers on a wild chase through two counties....

If the facility is not locked, why did the kids have to "manipulate" their way out? According to the article, they can just walk out. If this happened before in July why are they now going to correct it in August? If this is a non-locked facility and they are going to "ensure this will not happen again" does that not mean they will be locking the facility? ..but it is an unlocked facility??? I think more questions need to be asked rather than merely printing the company line.

I live near this place. I think the city needs to start charging them for all the calls up there. I bet the cops are there at least 2-3 times a week for something or another. They need to do something to make sure this don't happen again. The kid from the July incident is lucky he didn't get shot. I know the person whose house he ran to and he is heavily armed.

What else is there for an Elmore policeman to do? It is not like there is a grocery store, gas station, or farm implement dealer there to be robbed...
