Man dead in shooting outside Minneapolis bar

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minneapolis Police say one man is dead and another in critical condition after an early-morning shooting outside a popular bar.

The shooting happened early Sunday in front of Mortimer's, just off the intersection of Lyndale and Franklin avenues in south Minneapolis. Authorities tell WCCO-TV that three men apparently left together as the bar was closing, and got into an argument that led to one man shooting the other two ( ).

The shooter is still at large but police say the public is not at risk. Police are continuing to investigate.

One of the shooting victims died a short while later at Hennepin County Medical Center. The other was taken into surgery and is in critical condition. They have not been identified.
