Dalhart, Texas — DeBlom Gullord, 76, died May 28, 2008, in Amarillo, Texas.
Services were held June 2, 2008, at People’s Church, Dalhart with Mark McCormick officiating.
DeBlom Gullord was born Dec. 2, 1931, in Bricelyn to Oscar and Clara (Blom) Gullord. DeBlom was raised in Bricelyn and graduated from Bricelyn High School in 1949. A veteran of the U.S. Army he served during the Korean conflict. On Feb. 14, 1953, he married Gayle Marcus in Bricelyn and moved to Dalhart in 1977. DeBlom was a member of the People’s Church and enjoyed music, family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Gayle of Dalhart, four daughters: Mary (Dan) Olson of Lamar, Colo., Cheryl Grice of Dalhart, DeAnne (Ricky) King of Amarillo and Kathy Gullord of Denton, Texas, a son Charles (Debra) Gullord of Visalia, Calif., nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gene and Fahye.
