1. Commissioners Groskreutz, Loveall, Roper, and Warmka were present. Commissioner Erichsrud was absent. The pledge of allegiance was recited.

2. Approved synopsis and official proceedings of the August 18, 2009 regular meeting.

3. Approved agenda of September 1, 2009.

4. Approved an agreement between Faribault County and the South Central Minnesota Regional Radio Board and the State of Minnesota through its Commissioner of Transportation for the operation of subscriber radios on the Allied Radio Matrix for Emergency Response (ARMER) system.

5. Approved request of S. Robbins, J. Udermann, and S. Wiltse to attend a 4-day Minnesota Association of Assessing Officers conference in Bloomington and mileage for one person only.

6. Adopted Resolution 09-CB-19 authorizing general obligation waste disposal bonds of 2009. Commissioners Erichsrud, Groskreutz, Loveall, Roper, and Warmka voted yes.

7. Approved SSTS loans to: Clair Pearson, LE for $11,310.10 on Parcel #13.024.0400 in Minnesota Lake Township and David Killion for $6,969.31 on Parcel #03.010.0300 in Brush Creek Township.

8. Approved Resolution 09-RB5-20 authorizing final payment of $81,817.31 to Duininck Brothers for work on CSAH 2 and CSAH 19 bringing the total contract payment to $643,297. Commissioners Erichsrud, Groskreutz, Loveall, Roper, and Warmka voted yes.

9. Authorized Public Works Director to obtain quotes on mining sand at the Brush Creek Pit and quotes for washing of the sand in 2010.

10. A road tour was set for September 9, 2009 at 9:00 a.m.

11. Approved purchase of a walk-in refrigerator, contingent upon the unit meeting specifications, from American Wholesale Refrigerator for $10,750 delivered plus local installation with a four year warranty.

12. Accepted list of change orders for the law enforcement center as presented with costs of $45,773.41 to be reduced to approximately $38,000 when actual costs are finalized.

13. Approved request from N. Huff or E. Adams to attend a one-day Mn Department of Health training in Rochester and B. Blakesley to attend a three-day annual feedlot conference in Detroit Lakes.

14. Approved payment of bills totaling $39,687.39.

Discussion was held concerning the following:

1. L. Krosch met regarding treasurer’s office business.

2. J. McDonald met regarding public works business.

3. Steve Johnson, law enforcement center architect; Gary Otterstad, LEC construction manager; and Sheriff Mike Gormley met regarding the law enforcement center project.

The meeting was adjourned to September 15, 2009.
