Blue Earth — Evelyn Erichsrud, age 97, of Blue Earth, died Jan. 17, 2010 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth. Funeral services were held Jan. 21, 2010 at Patton Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Blue Earth. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth.

Evelyn was born Nov. 10, 1912 at Hubbard, Iowa the daughter of John H. and Fannie (Scott) Willard. At the age of six she moved to Minnesota with her family. In 1935 she moved to Granada. She worked as a waitress for a number of years in Fairmont and Miami, Fla., during World War II. She was married to Ronald E. Erichsrud on Aug. 31, 1942 in Blue Earth. After the war, Ronald and Evelyn returned to Minnesota, spending two years in Winnebago before moving to Blue Earth, where Ronald worked at the Faribault County Courthouse and Evelyn was a homemaker. She was also a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Blue Earth.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Russell (Mary) Erichsrud, of Blue Earth, grandchildren, Chad (Andrea) Erichsrud, of Circle Pines and Stephanie Erichsrud, of Blue Earth, two great-grandchildren, Nate and Cole Erichsrud, and sisters-in-law, Frieda Willard, of Fairmont and Doris Erichsrud, of Minneapolis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1999, six brothers and three sisters.
