NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR LIVESTOCK

FEEDLOT PERMIT

Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 116, that Doug and Christie Wetzel have made application to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency or County of Faribault for a permit to construct or expand a feedlot with the capacity of 500 animal units or more.

The proposed facility will be located in the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 33, Dunbar Township (T.104 N., R?24 W.) Faribault County, Minnesota. The proposed facility consists of 2,400 swine between 55 and 300 pounds housed in a total confinement barn (51 feet x 392 feet) with a poured reinforced concrete manure storage pit. The total animal unit capacity will be 960 animal units.

This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.

A public meeting will be held on March 1, 2011, 11:00 am at the Faribault County Board of Commissioner’s meeting in the Faribault County Courthouse for citizen input in regard to the feedlot being permitted.
