1. All members were present. The pledge of allegiance was recited.

2. Approved synopsis and official proceedings of April 5, 2011 regular meeting. Approved agenda of April 19, 2011.

3. Approved the following abatements: $18 reduction on taxes payable 2011 to William P. & Lisa Bromeland on Parcel No. 02-001-0501 in Blue Earth Township; $168 reduction on taxes payable 2011 to Scott & Julie Smith on Parcel No. 14-029-0400 in Pilot Grove Township; $162 reduction for taxes payable 2011 to Virginia Ristau on Parcel No. 14-029-0200 in Pilot Grove Township; $29.22 refund on taxes paid 2010 and $29 reduction on taxes payable 2011 to Bernard & Regina Steinhauer on Parcel No. 19-005-0602 in Walnut Lake Township.

4. Approved request from J. Udermann and S. Robbins to attend a two-day MN Assoc. of Assessing Officers summer seminar and that rides be shared or use the county van.

5. Loveall motion to re-open the bid process for food service at the Law Enforcement Center died for lack of second.

6. Loveall/Roper motion to oppose using the Law Enforcement Center as a base to prepare food to be used outside the Law Enforcement Center was withdrawn.

7. Tabled the topic until the County Attorney and Auditor review the contract to assess if the law enforcement center can be used to outsource meals and who controls the contract if legal.

8. Approved selling the Easton Café, Parcel Number 24.200.0680, Lots Eight (8) and Nine (9), Block Three (3), Original Plat, Easton City, Faribault County, Minnesota to the City of Easton.

9. Approved Resolution 11-CB-11 ordering the redetermination of benefits on County Ditch 14 and County Ditch 14 improvement. Commissioners Groskreutz, Loveall, Roper, Warmka, and Young voted yes.

10. Approved Resolution 11-CB-12 ordering the redetermination of benefits on County Ditch 5. Commissioners Groskreutz, Loveall, Roper, Warmka, and Young voted yes.

11. Approved Resolution 11-CB-13 ordering the redetermination of benefits on County Ditch 25. Commissioners Groskreutz, Loveall, Roper, Warmka, and Young voted yes.

12. Approved Resolution 11-CB-14 ordering the redetermination of benefits on County Ditch 68.

1. Loren Lein of Blue Earth appeared during public comment regarding the Blue Earth River and water quality issues.

2. M. Stindtman met regarding soil & water/planning & zoning business.

3. Brian Sonnek of Easton met regarding the Easton Café.

4. J. McDonald met regarding public works business.

NOTICE OF HEARING FOR VARIANCE REQUEST

Notice is hereby given that on Monday, May 23, 2011 at 7:45 PM in the Conference Room of the Faribault County Ag Center, Blue Earth, MN, the Faribault County Board of Adjustment will hold a Public Hearing on the application of Mike Obermeyer for a Variance Request.

NOTICE OF PRELIMINARY HEARING BEFORE THE DRAINAGE AUTHORITY OF FARIBAULT COUNTY

Whereas a petition having been filed by Watonwan Farm Service to re-route a portion of Judicial Ditch #1F tile located in the SE1/4 of section 36 in Delavan Township at petitioner’s expense has been filed with the Faribault County Auditor-Treasurer,

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a hearing will be held before the drainage authority on the 26th day of May, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. in the Board Room of the Faribault County Courthouse, 125 North Main Street, Blue Earth, Minnesota for the purpose of further considering the petition, examining the plat of the proposed route and verifying that present drainage for other landowners shall not be adversely affected and that the cost of the re-route shall be borne by the petitioners. All interested persons may attend and be heard thereon.

The petition and plat of proposed re-route may be examined prior to the hearing by any interested person on request at the office of the County Auditor-Treasurer located at the Courthouse, 125 North Main Street, Blue Earth, Minnesota during regular business hours between 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M.
