LeRoy C. Springer, 68

Mapleton – LeRoy C. Springer, age 68, of Mapleton died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.

Memorial Services were held on Nov. 2, 2011, at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Brian Sutton officiated. A private famiy burial will be held at a later date at Rice Lake Cemetery in rural Delavan. Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

LeRoy Charles was born Jan. 21, 1943 to Bruce and Della (Colby) Springer in Winnebago. On Dec. 28, 1963, he was united in marriage to Maureen Coxworth at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Guckeen. They were blessed with four children. As a young man, LeRoy worked as a farmhand, but found his true passion operating heavy equipment for Krengel Brothers, and most recently, Sellers Construction. He enjoyed outdoor activities like fishing and hunting. LeRoy especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

LeRoy is survived by his wife, Maureen; four children, Ken Springer, Chuck (Karen)?Springer, Christa Springer, and Dusty (Amber) Springer; seven grandchildren, Shalane and Kadon Springer, Dustin (Becky) Germo and Brandi Springer, Nick Mortenson, and Kyera and Briella Springer; one great-grandchild, Keeyan Springer; one great-grandchild that LeRoy was looking forward to in March; four siblings, Arlyss Steven, of Calif., Karen (Joe) Anderson, of Delavan, Roberta Deschenes, of Blue Earth, and Wally (Faith) Springer, of Alaska; brother-in-law, John (Julie) Coxworth, of Mankato; and many nieces and nephews.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents.
