Ann is survived by daughter, Meredith Holm and son-in-law David; three grandchildren, Heather (Chad) Schwartz, Jennie (Pete) Borgen, and Peter Holm; and five great-grandchildren, Madison, Mason and Sydney Schwartz, and Isabella and Amelia Borgen.
Ann and Pete moved to Blue Earth in 1956, moved to Minneapolis for five years and settled back in Blue Earth with an even greater appreciation for small town living.
Ann taught school in rural Nicollet County (where she fell in love with a cute, brown-eyed farmer), Stewart, Olivia, Cokato, St. Peter, Winnebago and Blue Earth.
Ann spent her last years reviewing, with great gratitude, the goodness of God’s presence in that wonderful life. Raised in poverty by her mother along with her dear sister Stella, she valued her church, community mentors, her school and the education that allowed her to “give back” in response to her many gifts.
Ann’s family wishes to thank Mary Beyer, the wonderful staff and residents of Nicollet Place, Dr. Aaron Johnson, Mary and the staff of the Blue Earth Clinic, Pastor Mark Wilms and her Trinity family, her neighbors and all the “folks” that make Blue Earth a wonderful place to live and die.
Memorials preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church or your local food shelf.
