The two Blue Earth Area High School students who are members of the Lake Crystal Valley ski team recently completed the season by participating in the Section 6 Tournament held on Feb. 7.
Nick Lein took 42nd place out of 103 skiers in the boys competition.
Lein had a time of 26.72 on his first run and 27.20 on his second run for a combined score-time of 53.92.

BEA's Laura Soerensen skiied to a 63rd place finish out of the 94 girls competing in the event.
Soerensen had a time of 31.96 on her first run, and a time of 31.69 on her second run, for a combined score-time of 1:03.65.
As a team, the LCV girls tallied 180 points and were 11th out of 14 teams at the Section 6 Meet.
With only four team members competing, the LCV boys team ended in ninth place out of nine teams with a score of 267 points.
However, the boys ended the season on a high note with one of their members qualifying for the State Ski Meet, a first for the LCV team.
John Mitchell had a time of 49.94 which placed him in 17th place and earned him a trip to state.
Lein and Soerensen had also competed in the Wuk-Fut Ski Meet on Jan. 30.
Lein was in 33rd place out of 46 skiers with a combined time of 1:04.95. He had a good first run with a time of 23.13, but had difficulty in the second run and came in with a time of 41.82.
Soerensen was 14th out of 30 girls with a time of 53. She had a 28.09 first run and a 24.91 second run.
