Winnebago Mary Ann Krueger, age 91, of Blue Earth, formerly of Winnebago, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at St. Luke's Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth.
Memorial Services were held March 2, 2012, at St. Luke's Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth. The Rev. Steven Jensen officiated and burial was held in Rosehill Cemetery, in Wells. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells assisted the family with the arrangements.
Mary Ann Krueger was born March 20, 1920, in Pocahontas, Iowa, the daughter of Asa and Mable (Farnsworth) Shank. She was united in marriage to Joseph Samuel Krueger on June 30, 1939, in Pocahontas. The couple moved to Blue Earth, and eventually to Winnebago where they raised their family. Mary relocated to New Life Manor seven years ago; and most recently to St. Luke's Care Center. Mary was talented and played the harmonica and the Dulcimer. She was a woman of faith. She enjoyed spreading the Word, and traveling to see family in Michigan and Colorado. She especially enjoyed time with her nephew, Joe. Mary loved to garden and feed the birds. She was a kind, giving and loving person.

Mary is survived by her children, Judy Langer, of Loveland, Colo., Ronald Krueger, of Wells, and Donna (Darwin) Evenson, of Pinconning, Mich.; eight grandchildren, Cindy (Lamar) Brandenburg, of Wells, Annette (Ed) Wilson, of Loveland, Wesley (Kimberly) Evenson, of Alger, Mich., Cary Duby, of Pinconning, Robin Hitz, of Flint, Mich., Heather (Rick) Ruse, of Omer, Mich., Ericka (Mark) Johnson, of Twinning, Mich., and Peter (Sue) Krueger, of Eau Claire, Wis.; several great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers; two sisters; daughter, JoAnn Schmidt; one great-grandson, Austin Meikle; and daughter-in-law, Florence Krueger.
