Blue Earth Orletha Stewart, age 95, of Blue Earth, died Sunday, March 4, 2012, at St. Luke's Lutheran Care Center, Blue Earth.
Funeral Services were held March 8, 2012, at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth. The services were conducted by Orletha's family and Rev. Karl Rydholm. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Patton Funeral Home &?Cremation Service was in charge of arrangements.
Orletha was born Nov. 17, 1916, in Easton, the daughter of Silas and Eunice (Feist) Weber. She was raised and educated in the Easton and Delavan areas. She was married to Lyle Stewart on Sept. 8, 1937. Orletha was a homemaker and had worked at Koehler Drug Store and Doolittle's Decorating. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Blue Earth where she was active in various church circles. She enjoyed garden clubs and being part of the Horticultural Society. She was a volunteer with the American Cancer Society with several other local organizations. She enjoyed baking homemade bread and always loved a good bowl of popcorn.
Orletha is survived by her children, Kathleen (Loren) Benz, of Blue Earth, Ken (June) Stewart, of Roseville, and Karen (Jerry) Myhre, of Geneseo, Ill.; brother-in-law, Romaine Babcock, of Blue Earth; grandchildren, Lisa Benz (husband, Mike Roy), Clinton (Susan) Benz, Derick Benz, Gretchen (Dan) Weber, Erika Myhre,?Bjorn (Leigh Ann) Myhre and Sean Stewart; and great-grandchildren, Lacey Benz, Marissa Benz and Madeline Weber.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyle, in 1962; brother, Wayne Weber; and sisters, Anetta Ziegler, Fern Babcock and Jean Weber.
