Frank was a good steward of the land. He made many improvements to the farm during his years of farming, and at the end of his farming years, was able to pass the farm on to his children. Frank attended country school and he attended high school in?Delavan until his senior year when school boundary lines were changed, he then spent his senior year in Wells where he graduated in 1953. During high school years, Frank was a Golden Gloves boxer and an all-conference football player. Frank made many lifelong friends during his school years.
Frank joined the Army in 1954. He was a member of the 287th Field Artillery Battalion and spent 16 months in Germany, serving his country. Frank continues to keep in contact with many of these friends and continued, even until now, to enjoy yearly reunions.
Frank was very civic minded and stepped up to serve on the boards of Easton Farmers Elevator for 25 years. He was a proud member and past commander of the Easton American Legion Post #569. He served on the Walnut Lake township board, OLMC school board and was a past Grand Knight.
Franks favorite pastime was "having coffee" and he started each morning with friends and neighbors at A&P service. Since retirement, he joined another coffee stop in Easton at "the bar". Frank enjoyed watching all sports. He especially cherished the time he spent with his grandsons either watching them play or days when they stopped in to watch sports on TV.
