Blue Earth Dolores "Dolly" Engesser, age 80, of Blue Earth, died Saturday, June 16, 2012, at St. Luke's Lutheran Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial was held June 22, 2012, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth. The Rev. Leo Koppala officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Blue Earth.
Dolores was born Oct. 10, 1931, in Blue Earth, the daughter of Dr. Elliott and Rose (Whitcomb) Collison. She was raised and educated in Blue Earth where she was a 1949 graduate of Blue Earth High School. She was married to Richard W. Engesser on Jan. 9, 1951, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth. "Dolly" was a homemaker who enjoyed taking walks with her husband, volunteer singing at St. Luke's and spending time with her family. She was a lifetime member of SS Peter and Paul?Catholic Church where she was active in the Catholic Daughters and the Council of Catholic Women. She has been a longtime advocate of Pro Life support for many years. She was truly an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Dolly is survived by her husband, Richard Engesser, of Blue Earth; children, Anthony (Abigail) Engesser, of Fairmont, Mary Rose (John) Pray, of Wiscasset, Maine, Timothy (Juliet) Engesser, of Spring Valley, Lenora (Paul) Mergens, of Milton, Vt., Margaret (Albert) Rysavy, of Owatonna, John Engesser, of Blue Earth, Joseph (Dawnelle) Engesser, of Red Wing, Nancy (Duane) Rorman, of Blue Earth, and Susan (Tim) Kletscher, of Benson; brothers, Jim (Val) Collison, of Mason City, Iowa, Vincent (Mary) Collison, of Denver, Colo., Joseph (Angie) Collison, of Danielson, Conn., Thomas (Elaine) Collison, of Denver, Colo., and John Collison, of Denver; sisters, Cathy (John) Becker, of Mission Viejo,?Calif., Sr. Therese Collison, of St. Peter, and Jennie (Mike) Rantz, of Green Valley,?Ariz.; 36 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Schock; and brothers, Lawrence and Robert Collison.
Expressions of sympathy are preferred in the form of donations to the Options Pregnancy Center in Fairmont.
