Three Blue Earth Area Buccaneer baseball players were recently selected to receive All-conference honors for the South Central Conference.
Carter Hanson, David Franta and Brandyn Olsen were on the All-SCC list.
Hanson, a junior, was the Bucs standout catcher this past season. He batted for a .333 average.
Franta, a sophomore, played shortstop and had a .340 batting average. He also sported a 3.25 ERA as a pitcher.
Olsen, a junior, was the Bucs top pitcher, ending the year with a 4.0 ERA and a 1-3 win/loss record.
Olsen also played right field for the Bucs when he wasn't on the mound.
He ended the season with a .370 batting average.
Fairmont St. Peter and New Ulm all topped the All-SCC list with four names each. Plus, New Ulm had the only player listed on the honorable mention All-SCC list.
St. James joined BEA with three names each on the list, while Waseca had two players.
