Blue Earth Kenneth R. More, age 84, of Blue Earth, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Lutz Wing Care Center in Fairmont.

Funeral Services are being held on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Blue Earth, with Rev. Michael Roys and Rev. Vic Vriesen officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation time was Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, from 3-6 p.m. at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation?Service and one hour prior to services at the church.

He was born Nov. 25, 1928, at Pilot Grove, the son of Harmon and Rose (Olson) More. He was raised and educated in Blue Earth where he was a 1946 graduate of Blue Earth High School. Following school he continued to help farm with his dad. He was married to Delores A. Jacobson on Dec. 11, 1949, in Bricelyn. The couple continued to operate More Farm Service for many years. Ken also worked at Tafco and owned and operated Billiards and More for many years, all while farming. He was always busy working but enjoyed gardening and raising roses. He was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church and was proud to help the Youth For Christ organization. Ken also enjoyed classical music and was an excellent cook. Delores passed in 2000 and Ken was later married to Carol J. (Ramstad) at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.

Ken is survived by his wife, Carol More, of Blue Earth; sons, Charles (Carol) More, of Blue Earth, David (Shauna) More, of Winnebago, and Paul (Susan) More, of Blue Earth; daughter, Mary (Bob) Bell, of Blue Earth; sister, Marjorie (Dalton “Dick”) Poppe, of Blue Earth; Carol’s children, Polly Lasley, of Ft. Knox, Tenn., David (Darcy) Stoen, of Iowa City, Iowa, Kimberly (Jon) Weber, of Waterford, Wis., and Tony Franzen, of Anderson, S.C.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and first wife, Delores.
