Driver involved in car accident dies of injuries

The driver of a recent car accident on Highway 169 near Winnebago has died from her injuries.

The 45-year-old driver, Catherine Traenor of Mapleton and manager of the Blue Earth Walmart, was traveling on Highway 169 on Friday, Mar. 1, when she hit a deer which went through the windshield of the vehicle and exited from the back window.

The collision with the deer resulted in the driver losing control and hitting a utility pole.
