The Blue Earth Area boys tennis team finished off their season as a team on Monday with a loss against St. Peter, but the season is not completely over yet.

Individuals will be moving on in the competition with two singles players and two doubles teams competing in post-season play.

For singles, Chandler Kienitz and Jaron King will be representing BEA.

The two doubles teams will be comprised of Hunter Myers and Eric Purvis, and Ben Gettis and Martin Granados.

The first round for individuals took place on Thursday, May 23, but results were not available before this publication.

During Monday's match, Purvis kept his No. 2 singles game going against Nels Kallaus but was unable to pull off a win, losing 6-3 and 6-4.

No. 1 singles Myers fell to opponent Matt Huber, 6-1 and 6-4.

St. Peter's Noah Adamson dominated Jaron King at No. 3 singles in two sets, both at 6-0.

No. 4 singles Cole Klinksiek was defeated by St. Peter's Joseph More, 6-0 and 6-0.

In doubles, the No. 1 team of Ben Gettis and Martin Granados held on to a few points for the first set but fell in the second, 6-2 and 6-0.

No. 2 doubles team of BEA's Chandler Kienitz and Trenton Stindtman fell to Zeke Haugen and Avery Bachman, 6-2 and 6-1.

No. 3 doubles Spencer Petersen and Spenser Timmerman were defeated by opponents Drew Elofson and Kaelan Weiss, 6-2 and 6-0.
