The Blue Earth Area Buccaneers were a perfect 4-0 at the Luverne Invitational Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 2, claiming the championship trophy.
The Bucs defeated Worthington 47-23, Pipestone 44-22, Sioux Falls Lincoln 72-6 and Wabasso-Red Rock Central 29-26.

Like BEA, Pipestone is on the honorable mention list of State Class A rankings.
And, Wabasso-Red Rock Central was listed as ranked 10th in State in Class A in the latest state polls released by The Guillotine wrestling newspaper.
It was the second week in a row the Buccaneers defeated a state-ranked team. At the Estherville, Iowa, tournament the team defeated Linn-Mar, a team which had been ranked in Iowa state polls and nationally as well.
