Beverly A. Nauman, 83

Elmore Beverly A. Nauman, age 83, of Elmore, died surrounded by her family on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center, Blue Earth.

Funeral Services were held on Feb. 26, 2014, at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth. The Rev. Arthur Keith and Rev. Karl Rydholm officiated. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery, Elmore. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service was in charge of arrangements.

Beverly was born May 3, 1930, in Austin, the daughter of Leo G. and Dorothea J. (Boyer) Rasmussen. She was raised in Austin where she was a 1948 graduate of Austin High School. She worked in the office at Hormel in Austin until her marriage to Ronald M. Nauman on Aug. 19, 1950. The couple farmed 1 1/2 miles northeast of Elmore for many years where Beverly learned all aspects of farm life. She was also a longtime and active member of the First United Methodist Church in Elmore where she baked for the church bazaars and taught music and Sunday school. She enjoyed camping and reading but her greatest joy was time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Ronald Nauman, of Elmore; daughters, Mavis (Gene) Huber, of Elmore, Mary Nauman, of Manson, Iowa, and Carol (Lenny) Herme, of Wells; brother, Donald Rasmussen, of Fremont, Neb.; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Rasmussen, of North Carolina; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dayle Rasmussen; and a sister-in-law, Mavis Rasmussen.
