Mission, Texas Donnas "Don" Preston Goodrich, age 84, of Mission, Texas, formerly of Minnesota Lake, died Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Life Care Hospital, in McAllen, Texas.
Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Danville, Township, Blue Earth County. The Rev. Michael Mathews officiated and interment was in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells was in charge of arrangements.
Donnas Preston Goodrich was born Oct. 11, 1929, the son of Floyd and Rosetta (Weise) Goodrich in Barber Township, Faribault County. On Oct. 24, 1950, Don was united in marriage to Betty May Giese in Easton. Don was active on the Minnesota Lake Fire Department, the Minnesota Lake City Council and was active council member at St. John's Lutheran Church, Danville Township. Don worked at Nordaas American Homes for many years and then he left to be co-owner of North Country Homes. After the housing recession in the 80's, he worked at Nuebert Millwork, after a few years Nordaas asked Don to return and he worked there until his retirement. He loved golfing, fishing, sitting around a campfire, spending time with friends and family, and wintering in Texas.

He is survived by five children, LaDona (Paul) Lange, of Mankato, Darell Goodrich, of Minnesota Lake, Kevin Goodrich, of Blue Earth, Julie Goodrich, of?Blue Earth, and Cynthia Anderson, of Blaine; seven grandchildren, Jason, Nick, Todd, Brianna, Scott, Cori, and Sam; three great-grandchildren, Hannah, Logan, and Carter; special friend, Mary Katz, of St. Paul; along with numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty; grandson, Shawn Lange; two brothers, Gordon and Edwin, Jr.; and a sister, Janet.
