Cohasset Gloria Rose Best, age 71, of Cohasset, died suddenly, Thursday, March 27, 2014, at her home.
Memorial Service was held April 5 at 11 a.m. at the Good News Bible Church in Cohasset. Rev. Tom Adams officiated. Arrangements were with the Rowe Funeral Home and Crematory of Grand Rapids.
Gloria was born in 1942 to Wayne and Elizabeth Joel in Blue Earth, where she also grew up and attended schools. Gloria worked in the gift shop at the White Oak Casino for several years. She loved her dogs and her many friends, but her greatest joy was being a mom and grandmother.
Gloria is survived by the daughter, Lavetta Meyer, of Blaine; two sons, Loren "Chip" Hofer, of Crown, and Joel Hofer, of Remer; two brothers, Mike (Edith) Joel and Wayne (Faye) Joel, both of Washington State; sister-in-law, Celeste Joel; two grandsons, Michael Lindgren and Cody Meyer; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Lloyd; two brothers; and one sister.
