Girls take first at Buc-5 Invite

Squad victorious even without top performers

The Blue Earth Area girls track and field team finished first at the Buc-5 Invite in Blue Earth on April 25.

The girls team results were: BEA 112, MCW 76, NRHEG 72, M/T/GHEC/ ML 58, LCWM/N 56.

The 4 x 100-meter relay team consisting of Paige Darrington, Miranda Johnson, Melissa Hagedorn and Skylee Bell took first place (53.3).

The 4 x 100 banana relay consisting of Sierra Halvorson, Mariah Twedt, Mariah Mauris and Jennifer Quintero captured first place (77.9).

Bell finished first in the 100-meter dash (13.5) and the 200-meter dash (27.3); Nicole Lium took first in the high jump (4-10) and pole vault (8-3) and Hagedorn finished first in the 300-meter low hurdles (52.4).

Miranda Johnson took second place in the 100-meter dash (13.6), the 200-meter dash (27.9) and the long jump (14-3 1/2). Also, Hagedorn finished second in the pole vault (7-6).

Other results

4 x 200-meter relay

Alissa Norman (28.7), Malorie Huber (29.6), Justina Gaydon (30.6) and Sofie Blair took third place (1:58.6).

4 x 400-meter relay

Norman (69.1), Darrington (67.9), Blair (66.5) and Hannah Johnson (69.7).

4 x 800-meter relay

Sam Ripley (2:53.8), Andrea Lawrence (2:53.7), Signe Olson (3:03.4) and Halvorson (2:59.2) finished fourth (11:49.8).

100-meter dash

Darrington (fourth, 13.9), Brooke Frandle (14.7), Hayley Jahnke (16.6) and Mariah Albertson (16.9).

200-meter dash

Sammy Naumann (31.5), Maddi Oelke (32.5) and Erin Hannaman (35.6).

400-meter dash

Alissa Norman (third, 66.7), Lawrence (70.7), Blair (72.5), Maddie Armon (72.7), Katie Allis (74.9) and Albertson (81.8).

Discus

Twedt (fourth,79-7), Quintero (fifth, 76-1), Emma Olson (60-6), Mauris (57-5), Christa Phillips (51-1).

Shot put

Quintero (fifth, 27-5), Emma Olson (26-8), Lindsey Norman (26-2), Mauris (25-6), Lauren Schoenfelder (24-8), Twedt (24-6 1/2), Phillips (23-10 1/2), Halvorson (21-5 1/2) and Bailee Swanson (20-2).

High jump

Darrington (fifth, 4-8), Ripley (4-8), Amanda Jacobson (4-0) and Callie Stevermer (4-0).

Triple jump

Nyla Anderson (fourth, 28-9 1/2), Lindsey Norman (fifth, 28-9 1/2), Blair (27-2), Lawrence (26-10 1/2), Jacobson (27- 1/2), Oelke (24-3), Armon (24-1).

Long jump

Hannah Johnson (third, 14-3 1/2), Bell (fourth, 13-11 1/2), Julia Hanson (12-10 1/2), Naumann (12-3 1/2), Blair (11-10 1/2), Erin Hannaman (11-3 1/2) and Albertson (8-7).

Pole vault

Hanson (fourth, 6-6), Gaydon (6-0) and Rowan Hacken (6-0).

100-meter high hurdles

Hagedorn (third, 17.9), Zoe Thompson (fourth, 17.9) and Huber (fifth, 18.7).

300-meter low hurdles

Huber (fourth, 54.6), Thompson (57.8) and Hayley Jahnke (68.9).

800-meter run

Lindsey Norman (2:43.9), Kaitlyn Olsen (2:47.0), Sierra Halvorson (2:48.1), Amanda Jacobson (3:15.2) and Arianna Nagel (3:18.0).

Sierra Halvorson (6:28.6), Stevermer (6:30.7) and Signe Olson (6:34.5).

Mariah Halvorson (third, 14:12.2).

Hamline Elite Meet

Taylor Grandgenett, Anne Franta, Shayna Stevermer and Karli Olsen took fourth place (4:02.19) in the 4 x 400.

300-meter hurdles
