ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

FARIBAULT COUNTY DITCH No. 24

DITCH REPAIRS

Sealed Prime General Contract bids for Faribault County Ditch No. 24 Ditch Repairs will be received by the Engineer at the office of the Engineer, 115 East Hickory Street, Suite 300, Mankato, Minnesota 56001 by mail or personal delivery until Wednesday, June 11 at 2:00pm at which date and time the bids will be opened and read aloud.

Project Scope: Installation of 255 feet of 60-inch Class III Reinforced Concrete Pipe, two 72-inch drop structures, miscellaneous debris removal, erosion protection, and other Work indicated in the drawings and specifications.

Bidders shall submit their proposal on the forms provided. Proposal shall be filled in clearly and correctly with ink or typewriter. Proposal shall be signed in ink by the individual, members of the partnership, or by one or more officers of the corporation making the proposal.

Bidding Documents may be obtained from the office of I+S Group, Incorporated (ISG) at 115 East Hickory Street, Mankato, Minnesota 56001, (telephone (507) 387-6651) for a non-refundable fee of $50.00 each. For Documents that must be mailed, the total plan fee will be $50.00 each, shipping and handling included. When requesting mailed documents, please include your address, phone number, fax number, and e-mail address. Make checks payable to I+S Group, Inc.

There will be a $20.00 non-refundable downloading fee to access a .pdf copy of the documents online.

All bids shall be sealed in an opaque envelope upon which shall be plainly marked "BID ON

FARIBAULT COUNTY DITCH NO. 24 FARIBAULT COUNTY, MINNESOTA" and the name of the bidder. If a bid is to be mailed, the bid envelope shall be sealed in a regular mailing envelope. FAX and E-mail Bids will not be accepted. The Owner reserves the right to hold and consider the bids for 30 days after the date of the bid opening. Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's check, bidder's bond, or certified check payable to FARIBAULT COUNTY DRAIN-AGE AUTHORITY for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid including add-alternates. A bidder's bond shall include certified copy of the power of attorney.

The right to waive any informality in any bid and reject any or all bids is reserved to the Owner.

The Winnebago Planning Commission has scheduled a hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in the City Council Chambers to consider the following request of Lynn and Cynthia Krachmer of Winnebago, MN: for the property located at 406 6th Avenue South East.

Request a use variance to demolish and build or move-in a residential structure in a B-1 district.

ORDINANCE NO. 14-06

CITY OF BLUE EARTH

AN ORDINANCE FOR THE ANNEXATION

OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY INTO THE CITY OF

BLUE EARTH CORPORATE LIMITS

The City Council of the City of Blue Earth does ordain as follows:

SECTION I.

The City of Blue Earth has received a Petition to annex into its corporate limits from itself as the sole landowner the following described real property:

A tract of land in the Southwest Quarter of Section 5, Township 102 North, Range 27 West, in Faribault County, Minnesota described as follows:

Commencing at the West Quarter corner of said Section 5; thence North 89 degrees 01 minutes 29 seconds East, along the north line of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 5, a distance of 944.59 feet to the point of beginning; thence continuing North 89 degrees 01 minutes 29 seconds East, along said north line, a distance of 380.08 feet to the northeast corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 5; thence South 01 degrees 47 minutes 02 seconds West, along the east line of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter, a distance of 1326.55 feet to the Southeast corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter; thence North 89 degrees 02 minutes 12 seconds East, along the north line of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter, a distance of 327.28 feet; thence South 01 degrees 37 minutes 36 seconds West, a distance of 888.88 feet to the northerly highway right-of-way line of Interstate 90 according to State Highway Right-of Way Plat No. 22-4 on file and of record in the office of the Faribault County Recorder; thence South 89 degrees 07 minutes 18 seconds West, along said northerly highway right-of-way line, a distance of 772.58 feet to the southeast corner of a tract of land deeded to Hope United Methodist Church of Blue Earth (Church tract) and recorded and described in the office of the Faribault County Recorder in Document No. 352824; thence North 00 degrees 58 minutes 36 seconds West, along the east line of said Church tract, a distance of 657.97 feet to the northeast corner of said Church tract; thence North 89 degrees 01 minutes 24 seconds East, a distance of 278.74 feet; thence North 00 degrees 58 minutes 36 seconds West, a distance of 80.00 feet; thence North 07 degrees 22 minutes 46 seconds West, a distance of 979.88 feet; thence North 00 degrees 58 minutes 31 seconds West, a distance of 500.00 feet to the point of beginning.

SECTION II.

The City of Blue Earth is desirous of annexing said real property into the City Corporate limits and hereby finds said real property to be urban and/or suburban in character as the City intends to immediately develop said real property as an industrial park. The City of Blue Earth further finds that proper notice was mailed to all necessary parties for the annexation hearing concerning this Ordinance as provided by Minnesota Statute 414.033 Subd. 2b.

SECTION III.

The City Council of the City of Blue Earth hereby annexes the above described real property into the Corporate limits of the City of Blue Earth pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statute 414.033.

SECTION IV.

This Ordinance shall not be effective until thirty (30) days after its passage and publication.
