Wells Marian Warmka, age 75, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, surrounded by her family at her home in rural Wells. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at 11:30 a.m., at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells. Rev. Thomas Niehaus officiated, and interment was in Walnut Lake Township Cemetery.
Marian was born Oct. 9, 1938, in Wells, to Daniel and Caroline (Dulas) Klenk. She was united in marriage to James Warmka on Dec. 29, 1960 at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells. To this union five children were born.
Marian loved homemaking, especially hosting family for gatherings, as well as gardening, tending her hostas, and sewing.
Marian is survived by her husband, Jim; children Anne (Richard) Ward of Menomonee Falls, Wis., Dennis of rural Wells, Valerie (Joseph) Buttweiler of Mason City, Iowa, Cynthia O'Rourke of Ithaca, NY, and Beverly Jo (James) Warmka Cardin of Minneapolis; two sisters, Helen (William) Sonnek of rural Easton, and Cleone (Irving) Meyer of Lakeville; four grandchildren, Blake and Marcus Buttweiler of Mason City, and Andrew and Jonathan Ward of Menomonee Falls; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
