LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities are identifying three veteran Las Vegas police officers who fired shots at a couple who killed two patrol officers at a pizza shop and a man who tried to stop them at a Wal-Mart store.
Officers Zach Beal, Brett Brosnahan and Timothy Gross are on paid leave Thursday following the weekend shooting deaths of the two assailants, Jerad and Amanda Miller.
The Millers, who had apparently been wounded by the teams of responding officers, died in the back of the store. Amanda Miller's death was ruled a suicide, and her husband's, a homicide.
Officers Igor Soldo and Alyn Beck were killed as they ate lunch Sunday.
Soldo's funeral is Thursday.
A memorial for Beck is set Saturday.
No date has been announced for services for the Wal-Mart shopper, Joseph Wilcox.
