Amundson withdraws suit, gets evicted (Click her for details)

A story in this week’s Faribault County Register details a court case in which the owners of three downtown Blue Earth buildings filed suit to evict a tenant of the buildings.

Paul Amundson of Blue Earth had sold the buildings to Hot Springs (So. Dak.) Citizens for Progress. That group was trying to evict Amundson from the buildings. See the story in the Register for full details.

On Friday afternoon in Faribault County District Court, Amundson’s attorney, Daniel Lundquist, told the court his client was withdrawing his countersuit, and answer to the eviction suit.

Joe Bromeland, attorney for the Hot Springs Citizens for Progress, then asked Judge Douglas Richards to order the eviction notice by default, and he did.

Richards asked Lundquist if Amundson had vacated the premises, and Lundquist answered he did not know.

“I assume he still has some personal items in the building,” Lundquist said.

Richards said the eviction ruling would proceed as requested, according to state law.
