David Piggott, the director of ‘Go Minnesota,’ has died. He was 48.

Piggott has been the director of the county-wide private development group for seven months. The organization was known as the Faribault County Economic Development Corporation, and was started by four county businesses last year.

Piggott was a resident of Stillwater, where his wife and two daughters live. He commuted back and forth to Blue Earth, where his office was in the city hall.

The funeral for Piggott will be in Superior, Wis., his hometown, on Friday.
