The Blue Earth Area Buccaneer girls track team took first place in the State True Team Track Meet last Saturday, May 16.

It was their fourth time they have qualified to go to state, but the first time they have won it. They took second place last year.

The girls had 417 total points, to second place Luverne’s 375.5.

Kate Hassing won every event she was a part of. Those included the 200 and 400, and triple jump. She also anchored the 4×400 meter relay.
