One of the three finalists just named for the Blue Earth Area School superintendent position has withdrawn his name.

Bill Strom of Mountain Lake has notified the consultants working with the BEA school board that he no longer wishes to be a candidate for the open BEA position. The announcement came Monday late afternoon.

Consultant Ed Waltman says the schedule for the finalists interviews will be changed, with Evan Gough now being interviewed on Tuesday and Tom Farrell on Thursday. There will be no interview on Wednesday, Feb. 22, as was previously set.

Interviews will start on Tuesday and Thursday with a public forum at 4 p.m. each day in the PAC at BEA High School. The public can hear each candidate and ask them questions.
