Filings for local offices closed on Tuesday night, Aug. 14. Filing for Blue Earth City Council were: Mayor – Rick Scholtes; Ward 1 – John Huisman, Chelsey Haase; Ward 2 – Glenn Gaylord; Ward 3 – Dan Brod.

Filing for Blue Earth Area School Board were incumbents Frankie Bly, Shane Becker and Dawn Fellows as well as Mark Maher.

In Winnebago, three filed for two council seats; Rick Johnson (incumbent), Jean Anderson and Bob Perryman. Randy Nowak (incumbent) filed for mayor.

All the filings for all area offices will be included in the next Faribault County Register, out this coming weekend.
