BE Council, Fair Board, agree on land swap – Click here for details
The Blue Earth City Council voted 6-0 tonight, April 10, to pass an ordinance that will in essence swap a piece of land in the fairgrounds which the city owns, for a piece of land that encompasses Giant Park and the Giant statue, which the Fair Board owns.
On Tuesday night, the Fair Board had passed a motion to accept the terms of the land swap agreement as presented by the city.
The deal has been debated for the past year.
Full details on the land swap agreement will be in the next Faribault County Register which will hit the stands this coming weekend.
