An arrest has been made in the case of the armed robbery of the Super 8 Motel in Blue Earth.

And, it turns out there was no armed robbery at all.

A report from the Blue Earth Police Department says they have arrested the motel employee who reported the crime, Tammy Beam. The report says Beam lied about being robbed at gunpoint and allegedly stole the money herself.

She is expected to be charged in Faribault County District Court soon.
