Notice to residents of the Highland Drive neighborhood. Access will be

restricted to Highland Drive at the intersection of County Road 6 (West

14th Street) tomorrow (Aug. 15) from 9 a.m. to Noon to allow the

contractor to install new storm sewer catch basins and piping at the

intersection.

General Project Update:

GM Contracting’s crew working on Highland Drive has about half of the

water services installed, the rest will be done pending testing of the

rest of the watermain. In the meantime, they are working on storm

sewer. After finishing water services, remaining storm sewer work will

be completed which will involve a few more access restrictions in the

next two weeks. Notice will be given the day before a restriction is

expected. Please plan accordingly if you need to leave or return home

during those times of restricted access.

The second construction crew for GM is working on 11th Street & 12th

Street. Currently the water and sewer mains have been installed on 11th

Street. The sewer main work is also done on the eastern block of 12th

street with the water main on that block finishing late today or

tomorrow. After that, the crew will complete water and sewer mains on

the western block of 12th Street and finally they will connect all water

and sewer services on those blocks of 11th and 12th Street. This work

is expected to last two more weeks.
