MnDOT advises motorists in southcentral Minnesota to be prepared for heavy snow, blowing snow

MANKATO, Minn. (10:30 a.m.) The Minnesota Department of Transportation advises motorists to be prepared for heavy snow Monday (12/28) afternoon through Tuesday (12/29) with moderately high winds making for difficult driving tonight.

The National Weather Service is predicting snow starting Monday afternoon through Tuesday. All of the counties located in District 7 are in a winter storm warning at this time. Snowfall is predicted from 6-8” to 8-12″ depending on your location. To check out how much snow you can expect visit www.weather.gov/mpx/.

Plows will be out moving snow as soon as necessary. Road conditions can change quickly, so check www.511mn.org or call 5-1-1 for updated road conditions before you travel.
