Arrest made in cemetery theft case – Click here for details

An arrest has been made in the theft and vandalism incident at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth.

The Blue Earth Police Department reports that on June 10, at 5 p.m., they received information on the whereabouts of a rose-colored quartz stone that had been stolen from a headstone at the cemetery on May 28.

A search warrant was executed at a residence in Elmore and the stolen quartz rock was recovered.

Heather Rago, 33, and Jeremy Hansen, 37, both of Elmore, were arrested and are awaiting charges of theft, receiving stolen property and criminal damage to property. Both are currently being held in the Faribault County Jail. Police are also seeking their alleged accomplice, Casandra Gimmer, 32, of Elmore.
