First Bank Blue Earth robbed – Click here for details
The Blue Earth Police Department have sent out a press release for immediate release: “On Friday, Sept. 7, at 4:12 a.m., a male suspect entered the ATM lobby of First Bank Blue Earth located at 306 S. Main Street. The male, described as having an athletic build and wearing a long light-colored shirt over a dark hooded sweatshirt, with dark pants, a hat, and a facemask preceded to attempt to pry the ATM machine from its placement using a long pry bar and a sledge hammer. When his attempts proved unsuccessful he left the lobby and backed up a black Chevrolet pickup up to the sidewalk and reemerged in the lobby with what appeared to be a new logging/tow chain. The suspect tied the chain to the ATM and drove the pickup forward, dislodging it. The ATM was then subsequently drug outside and loaded into the pickup and fled south on Main Street with an undetermined amount of cash inside. The Chevrolet pickup was stolen from Hawkins Chevrolet in Fairmont and was later recovered by the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office on 400th Avenue and County Road 4, approximately 6 miles west of Frost.” Blue Earth Police ask if anyone has information about this crime, to contact the Blue Earth Police Department at (507)526-5959.
