Student threatens BEA Schools – Click here for details

On Friday, Nov. 2, the Blue Earth Police Department received a report that a 14 year old ninth grade student at Blue Earth Area, had posted a video threatening to shoot up the school if he got seven likes. The student had posted the video on the social media site Tic Toc.

During the course of the investigation police were able to verify the validity of the complaint and the student was subsequently arrested.

The student is expected to be charged with “threats of violence.”

The Blue Earth Area School District is aware of the situation and it is being dealt with.

The School District and local law enforcement collaborate together to help keep our schools and communities safe. This is another reminder that if you hear something or see something, say something. Please make reports of safety concerns to local law enforcement.
