Still no water softener for LEC
The Faribault County Board of Commissioners empowered the county auditor and county sheriff to go out and get quotes on two projects dealing with the new law enforcement center.
Auditor/Treasurer John Thompson was given the go-ahead to get quotes on the water conditioning system, and Sheriff Mike Gormley was given the go-ahead to get quotes on landscaping materials for the LEC.
Commissioners expressed frustration over the water conditioning system and their inability to get a signed contract to install a water softener.
Twice the board has awarded the contract to a business, and twice the company has not signed the contract. The latest one was Culligan Soft Water of Fairmont.
Now the board agreed with Thompson that he go to all of the vendors who have given quotes in the past.
