United Hospital District board chairman Dennis Zitnak addresses a crowd attending groundbreaking ceremonies Tuesday for the new $4 million adolescent treatment center being built in Winnebago. The new 17,500 square foot facility is billed as the only totally “green” treatment center in the world. Construction is currently under way and completion is targeted for March 2010. Hospital board members, city and county officials and staff members at the facility shovel a scoop of dirt in a field where the center will be located.
