Two accidents near Elmore

Two separate accidents happened at the same location on Highway 169 near Elmore within a day of each other last week.
The first one was Tuesday night just before 10 p.m. and involved two vehicles sideswiping each other. The second one occurred the next afternoon just before 4 p.m. and involved a semi-truck overturning.
Both accidents happened near the intersection of County Road 2 and Highway 169.
According to a report from the Minnesota Highway Patrol, a 1999 Dodge pickup and a 2001 Chrysler sideswiped on the highway.
The driver of the pickup was Frederik Kneer, 18, of Elmore. Passengers were Karsten Fisher, 18, of Elmore, Geraldo Alonzo, 18, of Blue Earth, and Bradley Omland, 19, of Blue Earth. None had apparent injuries, according to the patrol’s report.
Driver of the car was Annika E. Johnson, 17, of Blue Earth. A passenger was Gregory S. Springer, 17, of Winnebago. Both were treated and released for injuries, according to the report.
The second accident, on Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m., involved a side-dump semi-truck hauling silage. It overturned into the ditch when making the turn onto County Road 2. The driver was not injured.
