W’bago says yes to on-sale liquor license
In a special session lasting two minutes and 13 seconds, the Winnebago City Council unanimously approved a liquor license for Schooter’s Bar and Grill.
The council granted the on-sale liquor license at a cost of $416.67. Rates will be pro-rated to Aug. 1.
Council members tabled the application during last month’s meeting because Schooter’s had not obtained a food and beverage license from the Faribault County Health Department.
After tabling the application, the council added a special provision.
If Tim Langer of the county health department inspected the building before the next council meeting, a special session could be called.
After filing an application, passing a background check and receiving a food and beverage license from the county health department, Schooter’s met all of the requirements necessary for the council to approve the license in a special session.
The next regular Winnebago City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 7 p.m.
