Armed robbery at motel

By Staff | Jun 2, 2013

Staring down the barrel of a gun, what would you do? Panic? Cry??Run? One never knows until that moment comes. Heaven forbid it should ever happen to you.

At first, it may seem surreal. One of those “Am I really seeing what I’m seeing?” kind of moments.

But then, it dawns on you that this is not a dream. It is a nightmare come to life.

Or, you are one of the few that can tough out the situation and do what needs to be done.

Monday, May 27 at 2:27 a.m., an armed robbery was called in from the Super 8 Motel in Blue Earth.

A hotel employee stated she was robbed at gunpoint and the suspect fled the scene with an unspecified amount of cash.

The suspect was described as being a white male with a medium build, approximately 6-foot-2 with dirty blond hair and an unshaven face. He was wearing a white T-shirt and dirty blue jeans.

“We are still investigating,” says a representative of the Blue Earth Police Department.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Blue Earth Police Department at (507) 526-5959.

Assisting the Blue Earth Police Department were officers from the Faribault County Sheriff’s Department and the Wells Police Department.
