House fire near Elmore turns deadly

An Elmore man was killed in a house fire in the early morning hours of Sunday, June 7.

Bryan Kent Krinke, 63, was found deceased inside the home after the fire had been put out, according to a report from the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office.

The call came in at 4:39 a.m. Sunday morning for the fire at the rural Elmore home located at 2837 380th Avenue, approximately three miles west of the city of Elmore.

The initial cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshal’s Office. The report states there were functioning smoke detectors in the residence.

Besides the Sheriff’s Office, the Blue Earth Police Department, Blue Earth Fire Department, Elmore Fire Department, United Hospital Ambulance and the State Fire Marshal’s Office also assisted at the scene.
