Work continued on the makeover of the Green Giant statue in Blue Earth. After a scrubbing and some fixing of cracks in the

Fiberglass, the Giant got a new paint job last week. The work was done by Mike’s Collision of New Ulm and the $20,000 cost was being split between the Blue Earth Chamber of Commerce and the City of Blue Earth. The final touchups on the repairs and painting of the Green Giant statue were completed last week thanks in part to some ideal weather conditions. It takes a lot of green paint and good lift to cover this 55-foot tall giant. But, he should be good for another 35 years or so…
