A dangerous storm ripped through Faribault County and the rest of southern Minnesota last Thursday evening around 6 p.m.

The worst damage was in Easton, according to reports, and the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church received severe damage as the top of the steeple was toppled by high winds and smashed the roof on its way down to the ground.

Trees were downed around the county, including heavy damage to the Riverside Town & Country Golf Club between Blue Earth and Winnebago, where dozens of trees were down on Friday morning.
