Hog permit is revoked

By Staff | Sep 13, 2020

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) has taken action to revoke the Construction Short Form Permit (CFS) No. MPCA-CSF 0400 issued to Micah Twedt and Scott Legried on March 26, 2020.

The permit was for a hog unit which was to be built in Section 34 of Rome Township in Faribault County.

The MPCA’s basis for revocation without reissuance of coverage under the CSF Permit issued to Micah Twedt and Scott Legried on March 26, 2020, is the failure to properly identify the owners of the facility in the good neighbor notice published on Feb. 24, 2020.

“The county followed the correct procedures,” Planning and Zoning administrator Loria Rebuffoni said.

Legried and Twedt may request a contested case hearing on the proposed revocation within 30 days of their receipt of the revocation notice.
