Wells to interview candidates
Four finalists for job of city administrator; interviews on Oct. 12
The city of Wells is making progress in their task of finding a new city administrator.
A Meet-and-Greet event will be held on Monday, Oct. 11 at the Wells Community Center from 5-6 p.m. prior to the regularly scheduled Wells City Council meeting.
There are currently four candidates who will be interviewed for the city administrator position. The interviews will take place on Oct. 12. The city declined to release the names of the candidates prior to the Faribault County Register going to press this week. The names are set to be released on Monday, Oct. 4.
Wells has been without a city administrator since CJ Holl resigned the position earlier this summer. Holl submitted his resignation on June 14 at a Wells City Council meeting and his last official day as the Wells city administrator was July 14.
Holl became the Wells city administrator a little over three years ago, starting his job at City Hall on May 7, 2018.
He and his wife, Bridgette, and two daughters, Lily and Daisy, had moved to Wells from the Pelican Rapids area.
Holl told council members his family was moving back to the Pelican Rapids area back in June.
“I am taking a position as the Mahnomen County administrator,” Holl announced at the council meeting.
South Central Services Cooperative out of Mankato has been assisting the city in the search for a new city administrator.
