Faribault County will begin looking for a new Planning and Zoning administrator following the resignation of current administrator, Loria Rebuffoni.

“I have accepted a position with Nicollet County,” Rebuffoni said when reached by phone. “My official last day with Faribault County is Sept. 23.”

Rebuffoni became Faribault County’s Planning and Zoning administrator in January of 2017.

“I started right when the windmills were beginning to move into the area so I had a baptism by fire,” she shared.

Rebuffoni noted she did not yet have a start date for her new position in Nicollet County where St. Peter is the county seat.

“This is a career opportunity,” she commented. “Plus, my husband Lee and I will now be closer to his family who live in the south suburbs of the Twin Cities without moving too far away from my family in Faribault County.”

Rebuffoni adds she will miss the people in her home county.

“Everyone in the county has been so supportive,” she said. “It has been an honor to serve the residents of Faribault County.”
