Firemen from several departments are shown at a garage fire in Wells that was on Monday of last week.

A fire call came in to the Wells Fire Department on Monday, April 1, at 1:13 p.m.

The call was for a garage fire at 781 Fourth Avenue SE. The cause of the fire was suspected to be a piece of equipment that was being worked on inside the garage.

Fire departments from around the area were called in for mutual aid, including the Easton Fire Department, Alden Fire Department, Walters Fire Department and Winnebago Fire Department.

Also assisting at the scene was the Wells Ambulance Service and the Faribault County Sheriff’s Department.

Fire personnel were on the scene until around 3:49 p.m. on Monday.
